Who: Spanish painter, draughtsman, and sculptor
Born: Oct. 25, 1881, in Spain
Died: April 8, 1973, in France
Age 14 he passed the entrance exam to Barcelona School of Fine Arts
80 of his 91 years Picasso devoted himself to art.
Known for the modern art
Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso created Cubism.

Made in 1937 for the commission for the Spanish Pavilion World Fair in Paris.
Was asked to paint this by the Spanish government.
This painting shows the bombing during the Spanish Civil War by Nazi Germany.
The painting was not allowed to be exhibited in Spain until democracy had been established in the country, the painting was not sent back to Spain until 1981.
